Willingness to Learn
Institut Montana encourages a positive attitude towards achievement and the focused acquisition of knowledge. Its students are supported so that that they become aware of their individual capabilities. To enable them to develop these capabilities in the best possible way, the school provides an appropriate atmosphere of security and mutual trust.

Development of Individual Strengths
Institut Montana offers its students a healthy environment with individualized  classroom and leisure-time programs so that they may develop their own capabilities to the fullest extent. We strive for a maturity in our students that is characterized by integrity, consideration for others, a healthy self-esteem and the capability of giving as well as receiving constructive criticism.

Development of Networked Thinking
By learning to observe and analyze situations and events from different perspectives, the students of Institut Montana develop the ability to think in terms of networks and to see themselves as well as their environment in a more sophisticated way. An important aim of the individual maturation process is an unbiased and critical openness towards what is new.

Acting Responsibly
By promoting self-knowledge and self-confidence, Institut Montana teaches its students to accept responsibility for themselves, their community and the world beyond it. Our students learn to empathize with others and to place the welfare of the community above their own. Living together in an international community requires mutual understanding, respect and support, independent of race, religion, culture, social background, physical appearance or other personal characteristics.

Preparation for the Future
Institut Montana prepares its students to be farsighted so that in their future lives they may act decisively, responsibly and environmentally conscious. Both an approved diploma that serves as a passport to universities and the acquisition of social and emotional skills contribute to professional and private fulfilment in adulthood.
