Institut Montana launches its Montana Basketball Academy
Coming this September, the Montana Basketball Academy (MBA)
offers a high-performance co-curricular programme to help young athletes thrive on and off the court.
Open to all students, including those who do not attend Institut Montana, the Academy combines elite basketball training with athletic performance development and mental conditioning, creating an environment where students can grow as athletes, leaders, and individuals.
Led by a world-class, accomplished basketball player
The Montana Basketball Academy is led by Nemanja Miskovic, a former Serbian national team player whose experience at the highest levels of the game is matched by his passion for developing young talent. Since moving to Switzerland in 2022, Nemanja has built a strong reputation in youth basketball. After serving as Sports Director at one of Zurich's largest basketball clubs, he founded Skills Academy CH, the first specialised basketball academy in German-speaking Switzerland dedicated to developing individual basketball technique and tactical understanding.
Drawing on his extensive playing and coaching experience, Nemanja has developed a comprehensive training approach that integrates technical basketball skills with athletic performance and mental preparation.

A holistic approach to player development
The Montana Basketball Academy is built on the belief that success in sport goes beyond physical ability. Players develop their shooting, ball handling, footwork, and game intelligence while also improving strength, speed, agility, focus, resilience, discipline, and confidence.
Training sessions take place both on the Institut Montana campus and at professional basketball facilities in Zug, giving participants access to an inspiring, high-performance environment that reflects the demands of competitive sport.
