CAS Project Week in Engadin

In close cooperation with the Foundation Environmental Action, our 11 Grade students spent a conservation week in Engadin. This project week is part of the CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) program, which is an integral part of the IB Diploma.

From June 27 to July 1, our students helped with the maintenance of two alps, cutting bushes, collecting branches, and ensuring shelters for animals. The goal was to create and preserve alpine pastures for animals. Our students learned what they can do for nature themselves. They should not only perceive nature but understand it. The project week took place on the two Lower Engadin alps "Jonvrai" and "Praditschöl".

The Foundation Environmental Action sensitizes in a practical way the careful handling of nature. It organizes outreaches with school classes for the benefit of nature and cultural landscapes. The aim is the care and maintenance of nature reserves, alpine pastures, and forests.
